Play Date Hell

Today I watched 2 yr old Cassy. I swop with her mom (kelli) so we can both do our co-op day at pre-school. Billi did fine at their house. I was looking forward to a fun play date for Billi. Instead, Billi was her worst behaved to date. She screamed constantly because she wanted to share NOTHING. She screamed because I wouldn't let her eat Cassy's snack (I think I've been letting her get away with stealing our food too much) She tried to hit/kick Cassy. She went to time out twice (I have to physically hold her in a chair in the corner to accomplish that) At one point, about 2 hours in, she signaled to me she wanted to go to her bed. First she tried to get me to open the front door( to throw Cassy out) and she went upstairs and passed out. It was morning but she just couldn't handle this little girl being in the house. She woke up 20 minutes later and was pretty much the same. But I did get her to laugh for one photo by acting extremely silly for them. The 'attitude' photo tells the story and much as the screaming one. I was cheered up later this afternoon at the arrival of Joshi's cinderella wig. Its so bad its good. She'll make an hysterical Cinderella this Halloween.

A walk with Dumbkin

When we took at little nature walk the other day we were joined by our old ornery cat Dumbkin. It was a nice surprise. And notice the huge ugly slug Joshi insisted on scooping up and bring home to build a house for.

Disney on Ice

We had a great afternoon yesterday. I bought tickets to Disney on Ice for Joshi and I. And my good friend Mikell bought tickets for Bailey and herself. The girls both dressed up. Barbara and Andy took Billi for me. So, Billi and Elizabeth had a play date. Disney put on a great show. Spectacular custom. And it was nice to have a special day with Joshi and no Billi.

Princess Party Pics

There are very few photos. I was too overwhelmed to take pictures. Maybe Barbara got 1 or 2 more. But from these you can see the castle we bought Joshi- She LOVES it. You can see them playing doctor =0) not one of the planned. We had a pinata, played musical chairs and pin the tail on the donkey. Nine kids total. And thats with 3 canceling for sickness. I may be crazy. I think all had fun.

We went to the Skyway BBQ Sunday nite with friends. Luckily Mikell is a photo freak and I'm able to update the blog without a camera this week. Notice Joshi put makeup on for the occasion. I say my future. Joshi in the bathroom screaming about Billi getting into her big girl makeup

Pumpkin mCarving Party

Here are some pics from Mikells party Saturday night. All the kids had a blast. You'll notice we brought 2 very small pumpkins to carve. I knew I'd be doing all the work and putting my hands in pumpkins and ripping out its guts creeps me out. They game out cute though. You also may notice I seem to be an unusual color. Either Mikells camera is weird or I need to stop hitting the tanning beds. Unfortunately I think its the latter.

Pumpkin Patch,I

Wow, I got a surprise e-mail with photos from our pumpkin patch trip with the pre-school. Its a Co-op pre-school and the parents hold all the jobs(except teacher) and this years president, Crystal, is going crazy above the expected duty. She's in the office every day we have school doing work. Apparently she took pics of everyones kids Friday and e-mailed them the photos this weekend.

Notice the hat Joshi choose to wear. It was a little chilly so I ask her to put on a hat. I'm sure that paper crown kept her warm. But she is rarely seen without her royal accessories these days.

Technical difficulties

The reason there have been no updates is because when I went to recharge my cameras battery I found the charger we just bought isn't working anymore. And Elwood is in Europe with our back up camera. Or his camera that I steal ever time something goes wrong with mine. So Joshi found her digital camera today and took this photo of Billi and I. Hopefully I can borrow a friends camera for next weeks big 'Princess turns 5 Party'. Unfortunately I got no pics of yesterdays field trip the pumpkin patch with the pre-school. It was quite fun. Tonight were headed to Mikels for a pumpkin carving party and potluck. Hopefully I can steal some of her photos to show you how it went.

Our Scare Crow

I've never made a scare crow before, so the results have to be seen in that light. Although there really isn't a whole lot to it it. I thought the girls would be way more into the project. The first photo with Joshi contemplating the state of her finger nails pretty much sums up their enthusiasm. So, I whipped it up quickly and then pulled them around in the wagon. Thats was at least fun for them. I'm not sure it was worth it though because I think I'll be spending all night getting the hay out of Billi's hair. African hair and frolicking in the hay do not mix. Live and learn. At least we have a festive place to put our pumpkins next week when we get back from the pumpkin picking field trip

I got nothing

I got nothing to blog about but Elwood is over in Europe and I want to put up a photo of the girls. Both of them wearing their track suits on this lovely fall day. The chococolate chip cookies we made are almost done cooling. So this is just a quick post to say, "We miss you Daddy"

New Raincoats

The girls received new raincoats from their Nana this week. A kitty and a penguin. We will be needing these a lot this fall. Never a shortage of rain in Oregon. I wish Elwoods mom used the internet so she could check up on the girls via our blog.
