One year ago today I met Billi. This week in August last year I was in Ethiopia. Definitely the hardest trip of my life. I was scared to go there alone. I was worried my new daughter would be afraid of me(like Joshi was in China) But that was actually the smoothest part of the whole endeavor. Billi wasn't scared at all. And she still has no fear. Wow its been a great year.

Happy anniversary! One year ago today we were falling in love with our kids and at the same time wondering whether we would be coming home at the end of the week or staying in Ethiopia until who-knows-when. And we were wondering if/when we could go anywhere outside the NF compound. What a trip!

Jenn, I was scared for you also and wished I could have been with you. But spending the time with Joshi was great!!
